ISLAND LIFE: Dharavandhoo

Dharavandhoo is an inhabited island in Baa Atoll, Maldives. I was surprised to discover that this island has very few mosquito issues unlike some islands i've been to. We stayed at Aveyla Manta Village, a guest house which consisting of sixteen rooms. A bonus point staying at this place is that the beach is right in front of your room. When traveling with kids, it's important that these little humans have something to look forward to too, if they had a choice, they will literally be sleeping on the beach under the starry sky.

I haven't come across any historical places to see at  Dharavandhoo island ... however, there is a beautiful mosque located just a few walks away from Aveyla Manta Village.

This island is also close to Hanifaru Bay (every snorkelers and divers dream spot but diving is not allowed). However, if your interested in scuba diving or snorkeling, you can pop by to Liquid Salt Divers and they may make your dream come true (perhaps not diving in Hanifaru Bay but else where).

Till next time ....

Happy Travels!
